Well, at first.. I don't know what -fiend- means! but surely it's something of great evil ain't it???
it's surely full of difficult idioms (at the view of which your english teacher would jump around *smile*) and one can read it very well and fluently! I suppose it's a kind of biblical text? the openings of Johannes (are they called like this???) I think! especially the line with -ordered by the beast (or something like that) seems like the great beast, the heir of the great red dragon...on the other hand you write of our glorious heritage, those (whatever you call it) times...

Es ist wie üblich eine Attacke auf das Christentum und die anderen Religionen, die von einer besseren friedlichen Zukunft sprechen, und dann passiert doch nichts.

"Fiend" bedeutet Teufel.

Es bezieht sich aber auf keine biblischen Kapitel.

just another thing: in line 1 of stanza 2 you write: -About the requiems iron fist-
shouldn't it be the requiem's fist? for it surely is a genetiv?!? otherwise the line does not make any sense to me...
I know.... always the same kind of pedantery...
